a few takeways from this video

1. The number of vehicles in Jakarta (23 mil) are almost twice the number of people who live in the city (11 mil)

2. being the center of several industrial towns (e.g. like Bekasi & Karawang), therefore being the center of pollutants (brought to the wind entering from other cities to Jakarta)

3. Jakarta isn't exactly the ideal town for its citizens as it has no room for them for self-improvement, neither does it has room for the development of the city.

4. The citizens really dgaf about dealing with pollution in the city & other problems; they dont feel like its their responsibility solely.

5. The people in charge don't think enough of the less privileged citizens and their situations before making decisions to relocate or change the structure of the city.

6. Indonesia's center of economy & government is in jakarta, so 70% of the financial cycle happens there. It only impacts nearby areas in several islands close to Java, & not much going on outside. It gives out the illusion like the economy is blooming for everyone but the truth is it only affects the higher-ups, the oligarchs living in the capital city & not the rest of the country.

7. Pemprov has a website for citizens to complain but they never bother listening to the complaints unless it benefits them in a way.

8. Even if the capital city moved from Jakarta to IKN, it wouldn't even affect MOST Jakartans, let alone all of Indonesia's population. And even if it does affect citizens it'll affect them in worse ways, like environmental destruction (more air pollution, landslides, etc)

There should be laws regarding fixing the city's structures & damages, but apparently no one gives a damn & there's a lack of said laws. All this sorta made it looks like Jakarta - and its surrounding areas, so Jabodetabek + Cianjur - is currently being exploited for their resources. It's as if the wellbeing of citizens of Jakarta isn't on their top priority, more like the laws are made to benefit uhhhh a *certain* percentage of people and their selfish needs.

Also "They hold a Jakarta Fair every year on Jakarta's birthday, but has Jakarta ever been fair to us?" lol good one
